Ingredients:-
- 250 gm European bread mix 2 cups
- 225 ml warm milk 1 cup
- 12 gm crystal yeast 1,½ sachets
- 15 gm sugar 1 tablespoon
- 6 gm crystal baking powder ½ sachet
- 3 gm salt ½ teaspoon
- One large egg yolk
- 30 gm soft butter 2 tablespoons
Method:-
- Add (sugar, yeast, and part of the milk) in a bowl and leave for 5 minutes until the yeast begins to react, then add the flour, salt, baking powder, and egg yolk to the previous mixture and begin kneading, then add the rest of the milk gradually until we obtain a soft, cohesive dough.
- We add soft butter to the dough and continue kneading until we obtain a smooth dough.
- We roll out the dough until the dough is in the shape of a rectangle and about 1/2 cm thick.
- We cut the dough using a circular-shaped cutter and place it on parchment paper for an hour until it ferments and doubles in size.
- We heat the oil, then put the donuts in the oil while lowering the temperature of the oil and stirring until completely cooked.
- Donuts are decorated as desired (sugar, cinnamon, or chocolate…)
