balah al-Sham using European bread mixture

Ingredients:-

  • 150 gm        European bread mix                   1 cup
  • 150 ml         water                                                     3/4 cup
  • 50 ml           oil                                                             1/4 cup
  • 3 eggs
  • A teaspoon of liquid vanilla or half a teaspoon of vanilla powder

Method:-

  • We put water and oil in a pot on the fire until it boils, then we turn off the fire and add the flour all at once to the water while constantly stirring until we get a smooth, homogeneous mixture.
  • We continue stirring until the dough becomes warm, then we add the eggs one by one so that the dough and eggs are homogeneous before adding the other egg.
  • We put the mixture in a confectioner’s bag, then we make fingers of the appropriate length and place them in cold oil on the stove
  • As soon as it comes out of the oil, put it in the syrup, filter it, and serve it
